The SteamWërk Ball is one of America's longest running annual Steampunk and Neo-Victorian events, created by the team that brings you the monthly dance party Shadowland Lancaster and co-founders of the Steampunk DJ performance group CogHead - DJ Kiltboy and Dave Ghoul! Now held on the first Saturday of April, this event offers a night of dancing, performances, vendors and more.
The SteamWërk Ball is a 21 and older event, so please be sure to bring your I.D. No I.D. means no club - which means no SteamWërk Ball for you. Then you'll be a very sad chrononaut indeed.
There is no dress code, but what fun would it be if you didn't come decked out in your best Steampunk or Neo-Victorian finery and show off those spats or that bustle. You may even win a prize for your efforts!
Frenchy and the Punk:
"Exhilarating live shows of mesmerizing upbeat cabaret folk with English and French vocals and pounding tribal drum instrumentals with honest spellbinding stage charisma to boot" In May 2012, Yahoo Music called them one of the top 25 duos in the US. Their show is a carnival of two that will take you from Paris to CBGBs and back again. "A rollicking flapper folk punk cabaret with cleverly crafted songs, pop hooks, Taiko meets Rio de Janeiro pounding drum instrumentals and true DIY attitude."
Troupe SYN:
We love our hometown girls! So once again we are proud to have Troupe SYN return for another amazing performance at this year's SteamWërk Ball. They are NOT your typical Belly Dance Troupe! They're are a diverse group who enjoy the challenge of creativity while keeping technique at it's highest level. Combining Urban and Contemporary Dance Fused with Tribal Belly Dance to create a visual experience, Troupe SYN are "The Bad Girls of Belly Dance".

Shadowland Lancaster, Dorian's Parlor, Wicked Faire, The Steampunk World's Fair, and the various PhillyZombieCrawl.com events are just some of the events both of these DJs have performed at with great success. Well known for their vast arsenal of music and a love of making audiences dance, you can expect to hear a mix of Goth, Industrial, Electro, Synth, Steampunk, Neo-Swing, Dark Cabaret, and more!
